Hebrews 11:7
“By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.”
Noah respected God by faithfully acting in obedience. His assignment was great, his task was hard, and his obedience is a testimony to his enduring faith. (Genesis 6-8) God has an assignment for all of us. Will your response bring respect and glory to God?
Prayer Focus: Concord Baptist Church, Pastor Gary Pate

Hebrews 11:8
“By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.”
Abraham was focused on obedience. Too often we focus on our destination and lose focus of the purpose of our travel. We are consumed by the details instead of faith in our Guide. Can you faithfully say “wherever He leads I’ll go”? (Matthew 16:24; Genesis 12:1-9)
Prayer Focus: Coulterville First Baptist Church, Pastor Bob Davis

Hebrews 11:9
“By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise;”
Abraham not only went in faith, he lived by faith in a foreign land. God may call us out of familiar surroundings and comfort zone so that we trust His provision and focus on His promises. Are you where God wants you to be? (Genesis 13:14-18)
Prayer Focus: Cutler First Baptist Church, Pastor Zach Furlong

Hebrews 11:10
“for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.”
We, as Abraham, live in an earthly home. God’s created beauty is all around us even though the world is tainted by sin. This is not our home. A perfect city awaits us, and we will reside with its Builder and Maker. (Revelation 21:1-7)
Prayer Focus: DeSoto First Baptist Church, Pastor Scott Foster

Hebrews 11:11
“By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.”
No matter how impossible God’s calling on our life may seem, we can look to the enduring faith of Sarah that shows us with God all things are possible. Just as with Sarah, God will give us the strength we need to bring about His calling on our life. (Genesis 18:1-15; 21:1-7)
Prayer Focus: Dowell First Baptist Church, Pastor Phillip White

Hebrews 11:12
“Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude-innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.”
When God gives us opportunity to participate in His divine plan, the results are immeasurable and eternal. If one person living in the will of God will be an example of enduring faith, how much more will God’s people working together in faith impact the world? (Romans 4:13-25)
Prayer Focus: DuQuoin First Baptist Church, Pastor Joe Wagner

Hebrews 11:13
“These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on earth.”
Someday our time on earth will come to an end. Until that day arrives, can you say that you are living for this world or the promise of life in an eternal home prepared for you by God? Do others see Jesus in you? (John 14:1-3)
